Cellulite Skin Care Tips
We can take control of cellulite with a few lifestyle changes. If you are devoted to making changes, you should see a dramatic transformation in your skin condition, especially cellulite prone areas, in as little as eight weeks. Here is a solid plan for fighting cellulite.
VITAMINS
Recent studies have proven that taking a daily multivitamin may be a waste of time and money when it comes to our health. The studies suggest that we can, and most often do, get the daily vitamin intake with the foods we eat. However, those with specific medical conditions or needs should take one. These studies have shown that it is unnecessary to take a multivitamin for our body’s health, but the studies do not mention the unnecessary notion for our skin’s health. Our skin needs daily vitamins, whether you take it orally or use it topically. Check for the ingredients in your skin care product and see if your skin is receiving those vital vitamins. Dr. Karen Burke, a New York dermatologist, recommends taking 1 to 6g vitamin C daily and 400 IU natural Vitamin E.
Eat plenty of fresh foods such as fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, whole grains, fish, olive oil, yogurt, eggs, and fresh herbs and spices. Avoid sugar and processed foods. Eliminate margarines, TV dinners, and canned foods from your diet
Celebrity singer Beyonce Knowles follows the Lemon Detox Diet to fight cellulite. We recommend the lemon detox recipe in the morning one hour before breakfast. To use this recipe, combine two tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon, two tablespoons of natural maple syrup, and one-tenth of a teaspoon of cayenne pepper. Mix this with an eight-ounce glass of fresh spring water and you will be on your way to fighting cellulite naturally. Here in this diet, you will be getting vitamins and spices known to target cellulite and other skin conditions.
Lifestyle changes are necessary to combat cellulite. If you are not on a regular fitness program, this may be a time to sign up and get involved in a fitness center or sports team. If you are on a regular fitness program, and you still have prominent cellulite, then you may need to change or alter your current program. For those who are just starting a physical fitness program, consult a personal trainer or a fitness staff for a personalized consultation. Most fitness centers offer a one-time personal assessment to get you on a customized plan. Tell them you are experiencing a problem with cellulite and want a program to combat this. They will be happy to help. Remember, both cardio and weight training are imperative to fight
Stress management is also important for fighting cellulite. Relaxing will distress and detoxify the body. Stress buildup contributes to fat. Cortisol is a stress hormone, known as a contributing factor in belly fat. Bring meditation into your daily life, and learn to diffuse negative feelings before it hurts your body and poisons your mind.
MANUAL MANIPULATION
Avoid surgery at all costs. Surgery, such as liposuction, may reduce fat, but it will not remove cellulite. It may reduce some cellulite in the liposuction area, but it will not rid of cellulite in that area and it will not rid of cellulite in other non-surgical areas. After surgery, your fat may disappear, but the cellulite may not. Skinny women have cellulite; it is not just a skin condition in overweight women. Genes play a role in cellulite, and even the most prestigious cosmetic procedures and vigorous lifestyle changes won’t completely get rid of cellulite.
Surgery is a temporary fix in removing fat, a fat-prone area.
Dry brushing works best on removing toxins from the fat cells, reducing the orange-peel look. This will also help cellulite products to penetrate the skin.
THE BOTTOM LINE
Lifestyle changes are going to be the most efficient method of reducing or eliminating cellulite. You will need to eat healthy, avoid toxin build-ups, and use skin care products to work on any problem areas that remain after making these changes.
Cures don’t happen overnight. We will not be able permanently cure cellulite. However, we can reduce cellulite dramatically with life style changes and skin care remedies.
Birthmarks
Marilyn Monroe’s famous birthmark made her an icon for beauty. It is irretrievable to think that a birthmark could be anything but a symbol of beauty and character. Unfortunately, those with birthmarks may not feel as confident as those icon’s of beauty. Some birthmarks come in different shapes and on different areas of our bodies. This is a reason for some to seek out a skin care product that will help with covering or treating birthmarks. First, we need to look at what birthmarks are before we can begin treating them.
A birthmark is a blemish on the skin formed before birth. They are part of the group of skin lesions known as moles. The cause of birthmarks is unknown, but may include cellular damage due to radiation or chemicals. Some types seem to run in families.
Birthmark Tales
In Italian, Spanish, and Middle Eastern cultures, they are called: voglie in Italian; antojos in Spanish; or wiham in Arabic; all of which translate to “wishes” because, according to folklore, they are caused by unsatisfied wishes of the mother during pregnancy. For example, if a pregnant woman does not satisfy a sudden wish or craving for strawberries, then the infant might bear a strawberry mark.
These tales are comical, but they do add an interesting dimension to the special spots that have made you unique.
Common Types of Birthmarks
Stork Bite, Angels Kiss, and Salmon patch birthmarks are pink, irregular, and flat. They are less than three inches tall and wide. They occur on the neck, head top-lip. Nearly half of newborns have a stork bite (angels kiss). Most fade by the end of the first year.
Mongolian Blue Spot, Blue bum, and sacral spot, are bluish, bruise-like, irregular and flat. They are about ten centimeters across, located in the lower back and bottom. These are more common in darker skinned people. These may not appear until sometime after birth, but gradually fade.
Strawberry marks are red, raised and lumpy, and these can appear anywhere on the body., One in twenty births., The mark usually appears between one and four weeks, it can then grow rapidly, before stopping and slowly fading. Sixty percent of marks have vanished by five years, and ninety percent have gone by age ten.

Some are small marks that are usually flat, but large ones can be raised and lumpy. The size runs from under a centimeter to over 30 centimeter, and can appear anywhere on the body. Studies have suggested a cancer risk is associated with large marks. Some marks are associated with a buildup of melanin in the spinal cord.
The Port-wine stain is pale or pink at birth, becoming darker with age to a deep wine red. They are irregular and usually large, more than ten centimeters across. The port-wine stain is usually found on the face and they do not fade. Marks around the eye are associated with glaucoma. These birthmarks are the most problematic and carry a psychological impact for some.
Dermablend Covert Duet Custom Corrector – Tan Duo is the perfect blend to customize the color you need for the cover-up. Since birthmarks range in color, size, and tone, it is a good idea to consider using custom hues. The cover cream comes in a variety of shades to match your skin tone, but this custom corrector provides pink and yellow pigments to match your birthmark perfectly. This corrector also has the amazing abilities to hide large pores and wrinkles, unlike other camouflage correctors. This is the best of the best, especially for the face or small areas.
For those with larger birthmarks, Dermablend Smooth Indulgence Concealer Sable is a great choice. It has the same benefits and qualities of Dermablend Custom Corrector Duo, but without the additional pink or yellow tones. This is a one-stop source to correct any birthmark or other darker skin hues like tattoos. There is nothing better and more economical.
Dermablend Loose Setting Powder – Original is the final step after using the Dermablend Cover Cream. This is to set the corrector. We have found that the Dermablend brand is the best cover-up, but unless you use the Dermablend Loose Setting Powder, it may run off on your clothing or anything else it touches. Tip: The powder is what saves your clothes and keeps the corrector on all day, and even several days. The powder is a necessity.
Because Dermablend has the tendency to have vigorous staying power, we recommended using the Dermablend Remover. Using regular soap will make removing Dermablend a real chore. The Dermablend Remover makes it easier to remove. Tip: Do not use towels or washcloths using regular soap to remove this as it could stain. Use the remover with your hands or a special cloth that you only use to remove Dermablend.
